Sleep:
Juuuust fiiiiiine.

Best moment this week:
Going to the doctor for our monthly check up! We had our detailed ultrasound and baby girl looks good! Also I'm at the halfway mark! I can't believe it!

Food I'm craving:
Chocolate. Pasta. Sandwiches. Potatoes. Okay everything. I'm just hungry!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing!

Symptoms:
Just a little more sleepier than usual. Also now that I'm growing more I can definitely feel those growing pains!

Mood:
Happy because its the CHRISTMAS SEASON! HURRAY!

What I'm looking forward to:
CHRISTMAS! HURRAY!

New in life:
> It's CHRISTMAS! HURRAY! Okay I'm done.
> Just had Thanksgiving! We spent it with our family friends and it was so fun and delicious! I ate way too much.
> Still looking for a place to live! Why is everything SO crappy around here? Unless you want to pay $1500! Ugh..

Baby #2 : 18 Weeks + Halloween Pictures

on
Monday, November 14, 2016
Sleep:
I can sleep, I can sleep, I can sleep!!! Sleep has been so amazing lately.

Best moment this week:
This little girl is moving so much and she is getting a lot stronger in her kicks! Although every time Trevor has his hand on my belly she doesn't move at all.

Food I'm craving:
I haven't been craving anything in particular but Trevor started at Olive Garden last week and has been bringing us food that they provided for his training and I've been gobbling it up! But let's be honest.. I'd do that even if I weren't pregnant.

What's making me nauseous:
I haven't been nauseous hardly at all this week and its been glorious!

Symptoms:
I haven't had much to complain about this week besides being slightly uncomfortable.

Appearance:
I don't feel that I've changed too much. My hair and nails are growing like crazy! I can't decide if I should let it grow out or cut it short again. Oh the never ending struggle of every girl.

Mood:
Happy!! Life is good!

What I'm looking forward to:
We have our detailed ultrasound next week to see if everything is going well for baby girl! I'm nervous and excited. It's always so reassuring seeing that little baby jumping around on the screen!

New in life:
> Halloween was a couple of weeks ago and it was Emma's first time really Trick-Or-Treating! She was so cute and wasn't even that shy! We dressed her up like Elsa since she is obsessed with Frozen and she looooved it.
> Trevor started his second job at Olive Garden! I think he's going to be an amazing server!

P.S. I had to temporarily get rid of Photoshop/Lightroom and I hate not having it! Editing pictures is so hard without it!

Baby #2 : 15 Weeks

on
Tuesday, October 25, 2016
Sleep:
It's been a lot better! I have to go to the bathroom during the night at least once, but it's better than it used to be!

Best moment this week:
Well we find out what we are having (hopefully) tomorrow! I seriously cannot wait! I don't know how people can wait until they have their baby to find out. I've been so impatient!

Food I'm craving:
I've been craving margarita pizza for soo long and I still haven't got it!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing really! I haven't been nauseous lately which is amazing!

Symptoms:
Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I've been feeling pretty good! My energy is finally back! It's obviously not like it was before I was pregnant, but considering that I am, I feel pretty good! I've had a lot of pressure on my stomach. This baby is sitting pretty low and it's been a little painful.

Appearance:
Still getting bigger! I'm glad that my face isn't yet though haha! Also when I was pregnant with Emma I didn't get any stretch marks so I'm hoping that I don't get them this time either!

Mood:
Happy and impatient! I seriously want to have this baby already.

What I'm looking forward to:
Finding out the gender! My nurse said we may get to find out what we are having tomorrow but since I'm only at 15 weeks she said it may be too early. Although I found that Emma was a girl at 15 weeks, so we will see! Ah I cannot wait!! Also I can't wait to tell the world that we are pregnant!

New in life:
> Trevor got a second job at Olive Garden! So hopefully we can get enough money to move out of my parents house. We love being here, but I feel bad being here for so long!
> We took Emma Trunk-Or-Treating and she was so nervous! She would put out her basket and say "Candy please" in a super quiet voice. Gosh I just love her.
> Also, I've been super nervous about how Emma is going to take having a new baby in the family! But I've been noticing that anytime she sees a baby in real life or on TV she gets SOO excited so I think she will do just fine. I'm so excited for her to be a big sister!

Baby #2 : 13 Weeks

Sleep:
Still terrible.

Best moment this week:
I'd have to say my best moment is that this week my nausea and tiredness are starting to subside. It's not completely gone but it's getting less intense.

Food I'm craving:
Turkey sandwiches. I can't get enough!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing in particular. Just random things.

Symptoms:
The itchiness on my stomach and back are starting! Nooooooo!

Appearance:
I'm not much bigger but I feel like my stomach is looking more rounder.

Differences from first pregnancy:
Definitely bigger! Although I read that most women start showing faster in their second pregnancies.

Mood:
I feel like I've been more happier lately!

What I'm looking forward to:
My next appointment! They said I may be able to tell the gender! Ah!

New in life:
> Nothing at all! I've been bored out of my mind and I've been too sick to do anything fun!

It's so fun to look at my past pregnancy updates from when I was pregnant with Emma and compare how I'm feeling. Sometimes it gets super annoying to do this but I'm always grateful looking back!

Baby #2 : 11 Weeks

Sleep:
Absolutely TERRIBLE! I'm barely sleeping at all and I'm exhausted.

Best moment this week:
Going to our first appointment! Everything looks good and we got to see our cute little baby! I don't know why but it was so reassuring to see the little silhouette of our baby! I was low key nervous they were going to say "Nope you're not pregnant, just gaining weight." Ha! Could you imagine.. My iron was low (as I suspected) so I have to take supplements for that again. I'm pretty sure thats a common thing though.

Food I'm craving:
Give me all the italian food!

What's making me nauseous:
It's kind of weird but if there is any pressure on my neck it makes me gag and then I'm instantly nauseous. Also just random smells and dirty dishes! I'm not having nausea all day like I used to but it seems that when I do get it, it's extremely bad.

Symptoms:
Same as usual. Really really tired and nauseous. Also my tailbone is KILLING me! I never had that with Emma! I can barely walk up the street without being in pain for the rest of the day! I looked it up and it said "don't worry the pain quickly ceases after delivery" What. I have 6 more months of this!?

Appearance:
I'm definitely showing. I try to hide it with my leggings. Yes that's all I wear. #momlife

Mood:
Honestly I've just been out of it. So tired and really stressed.

What I'm looking forward to:
Finding out the gender! We already have our boy name picked out. Let's be honest.. I've literally had that name picked out since I was in middle school and since Trevor is a huge Beatles fan too, it's just perfect!

New in life:
>Still trying to find a place to live. We may move to Cedar because we can't find a place anywhere!

Baby #2 : 9 Weeks

Sleep:
Still not so good. My sleep schedule is so messed up.

Best moment this week:
Telling Luke I'm pregnant!

Food I'm craving:
Chocolate and pasta. I'm going to get so big.

What's making me nauseous:
Sooo many things. My nausea lasts all day. It's funny, one week I'll have a serious craving for something and the next week it makes me want to throw up just thinking about it!

Symptoms:
Nauseous, extremely tired, and weak. I'm pretty positive I have pregnancy anemia. I had to take iron while pregnant with Emma so I started taking them again. They seem to help.

Appearance:
I'm already starting to show!! What in the world!! I feel sooo big and I'll only get bigger!

Mood:
I've been a lot happier lately!

What I'm looking forward to:
Still looking forward to my first appointment! The place I go to cant get me in for a couple weeks.

New in life:
> Nothing new.. Just have been hanging out with a bunch of friends. It's so nice to be close to them all again!
> We've been taking Emma swimming a lot lately and she just loves it!

Baby #2 : 5 Weeks

Sleep:
Terrible! My first trimester with Emma I slept soooo well. What is going on? I'm super tired allll the time now.

Best moment this week:
Finding out that we are pregnant again!

Food I'm craving:
Jimmy Johns. Give me all the sandwiches!

What's making me nauseous:
I've been a lot more nauseous this time around. Most foods make me sick. I wasn't super nauseous my first pregnancy. My second I was more nauseous. But this time I'm really nauseous. It's terrible!

Symptoms:
Nauseous, fatigued, and sore.

Mood:
Moooood swiiiiiings. Ugh.

What I'm looking forward to:
Going to my first appointment.

New in life:
>Finding out we are pregnant again was so exciting for us! Since I had a miscarriage I was super hesitant to start trying again but I finally got to the point where I was ready. Now I just cannot wait to have this baby!
>We've been updating my parent's old house (The house I grew up in!). It's been a tough feat! I was always beyond exhausted doing it and I didn't understand why I was getting so worn out so quickly. Little did I know I was pregnant!

Pregnant with baby #2!!

Yay! We're having another baby! We are SOO excited!! We JUST found out that we are having another girl! I thought we were the whole time. I am so excited for Emma to have a best friend/sister! She's going to be the best big sister! Now we just have to think of a name! We have no idea!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 Years Old

on
Saturday, June 4, 2016

What. What? No. No no no. Nooooo. How is my baby 2. I know I say that all of the time but what? How can that be? These past two years flew by.

I had to take pictures like this since I did it for her newborns and first birthday pictures. (here & here)  I did a bad job of it, but ah well. I have never met a girl whose hair is so hard to do! It doesn't do anything I want it to! Although it is finally long enough to put it back in a bun/pony tail. But her hair looks like this often..

Emma and I were in Utah for a few weeks and we celebrated her birthday while we were there. It was fun to celebrate with our family and friends. We had a good turn out actually! We missed Trevor but he came the next day. My mom got her one of those little toddler bike/car things and it blasted Frozen songs. It got old fast. It was so nice of my mom to do that for her though! She loved it.

Emma..
  • Loves to watch TV. I seriously have to limit her because she always wants to watch a "show". Judge me all you want.. Yes, I let her watch TV (The horror!).
  • Still loves our ears! She's holding mine as I type this!
  • Still sleeps with us. Again judge all you want but I love it! It's so nice having her right there next to us. Once we move into a two bedroom apartment/house we plan on getting her a toddler bed. We'll see how it goes!
  • Has VERY crooked teeth. Adds character, right? Poor girl didn't have a chance with teeth like ours!
  • Is so picky. Oh my goodness.
  • Loves to cuddle. I hope she doesn't outgrow that for a long time.
  • Always points out Jesus in pictures! Sounds more like "Desus"!
  • So good at folding her arms when we pray and is starting to say amen.."men".
  • Runs and walks on her toes! She has better calves than me!
  • Always wants to go outside. "ouside".
  • Is generally a happy baby! Thank heavens!
P.S. You can totally tell I edited out a HUGE bruise off her head. I forgot to do it in one of the photos!

Life

on
Tuesday, April 26, 2016
I debated wether to share this because I don't want people to think I'm doing this to receive attention or pity. I see this blog as my journal and it has basically been a "highlight reel". So why not write down the hard stuff we've been going through too. I know this is a common thing but it's been hard. Trevor and I had a miscarriage. Trevor and I had been trying to get pregnant for awhile. Here's the thing. Pain is relative. Just because we hadn't been trying for years and years doesn't mean that it wasn't hard for us. I think trying to have kids in general is hard emotionally. When we got pregnant we were SO happy. I told Trevor in a cute way and we were pretty giddy. We told way too many people out of excitement, which we have now learned our lesson. This pregnancy felt extremely different. I felt a lot sicker. For some reason I stopped feeling excited and felt super nervous instead. It's not unlike me to be nervous but I felt more nervous than excited. I just did not feel good about this pregnancy and I felt super guilty for feeling this way. I tried to be excited again but I just couldn't. So a few weeks later I started lightly bleeding (sorry for the TMI). For some reason I wasn't overly shocked but I was extremely sad. I looked it up and talked to a lot of people who told me it was probably normal. I got a blessing and tried to relax. Then a couple of weeks later I started bleeding more heavily. Heartbroken we went to the ER where they gave me a bunch of exams. My nurse was super frustrating and very immature. However our doctor was a tender mercy. He had experienced 2 miscarriages and his last one was only 6 months ago. He was extremely kind but very blunt and to the point which I really appreciated. He said that with that much bleeding it was unlikely I would be able to continue the pregnancy. The nurse was super frustrated with him for saying that to me but I would much rather him be honest than sugar coat anything. So a couple of hours later he came in and delivered the bad news. To be honest when I first started bleeding I pretty much knew what was going on. So when he told me, again, I wasn't overly shocked but it was still devastating to hear. After a while they released us. This isn't something you can prepare yourself for. I mean how could you? But from the first time that I started bleeding and I basically knew what was going on, I cried and grieved a lot. So when I finally had it confirmed that I was having a miscarriage it was almost reassuring to finally know, although I continued to cry and grieve. It's been hard because there are literally like 7 girls on my Facebook who are due around the time I was due so it's a little bit hard to get on Facebook. It's not that I'm not happy for them it's just hard to think that I would be around the same stage as them. I haven't gone through many hard trials so this was difficult and it will be for awhile. All I can say is that I felt my Heavenly Fathers love SO strongly. I have always known that he loves me but I got a glimpse of how much. He gave me so much comfort throughout all of this. I couldn't have done this without Him. I'm also grateful for eternal families. What a blessing it is to have that knowledge. I have received the sweetest messages from my family and friends. I felt so loved by everyone. Trevor has been my rock and has helped me so much. I didn't want to have to tell anyone so he did which I'm super grateful for. Going through this made me so much more grateful for Emma too. I've been looking at old blog posts and I'm so happy she's come into my life. I love her so much. She's such a joy to have. I know I'll get pregnant again, I just don't know when. I don't know when I'll be ready again to be honest.. But I'll get there. Like I said I know that a miscarriage is fairly common but this was just my experience with it.

Our Wedding : The Reception

on
Tuesday, March 22, 2016

So I didn't get many great pictures from my reception. I wish so bad I would have hired a photographer but oh well! I (very) badly edited these pictures a long time ago and I can't find the originals to re-edit them. My reception went by in a blur! I barely remember it, it went by so fast! I just remember that I had a lot of fun! My dad and I (and Trevor and his mom) danced to "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5 because we just couldn't do a slow song. It wasn't us! Then Trevor and I danced to our song, "Dream a Little Dream of Me" by The Mamas & The Papas!

Our Wedding : The Ceremony

on
Monday, March 14, 2016

This was such an exciting day! It started at 5 and I was so nervous the whole day. I had my friends and bridesmaids there to help me get ready. Everyone left early except for me and some of my bridesmaids, and all that was left was my friend's car which was very old and beaten up. We thought it was hilarious that I was driving to my wedding in that car! Can you imagine? We passed some boys in a car next to us and we all waved and I was obviously in my wedding dress and veil and they were like what the heck!? It was such a funny car ride. It made my nerves go away.

Right when I got there they started the procession. I'm glad it was so fast so I didn't have time to get nervous! I was so happy to be married to my best friend! Trevor was so cute and teared up a little bit. Also, I put his ring on the wrong finger! It was so funny! Of course I would do that. Although we didn't get married in the temple, we tried to make the best of it and it was still an extremely happy day!

The wonderful Jostlyn Stilson took our ceremony pictures.

Bridals

Our bridals were taken by the ever amazing Jostlyn Stilson. It seems only yesterday that we were preparing for our wedding. Now we have a child and live in a different state! So crazy how time flies.
