Baby #2 : 38 Weeks

Saturday, April 1, 2017
Big news! One of my doctors gave us the option to get induced NEXT WEEK! I just have to talk to my other doctor on Wednesday and if he gives the OK then we get to go in on Saturday! I'm so excited! It will be so nice to be prepared and know when I need to go in, granted I don't go into labor before that.. I probably wouldn't choose to get induced if I hadn't already had the experience of going into labor myself. It is fun to not know when it's going to happen but this time around it just seems a lot more convenient, although I wouldn't be mad if I went into labor myself before then! I actually have been having some contractions and feeling a little weird. So let's see if I even make it to Saturday!

Sleep:
Not the best as usual but I know it's going to get a LOT worse.

Best moment this week:
Hearing that we could go in on Saturday and have our baby girl!

Food I'm craving:
Jimmy Johns and lemon cake from Olive Garden.

What's making me nauseous:
I've been getting super stressed lately and it has been making me nauseous.

Symptoms:
I have had a lot of cramping. I literally thought I was going into labor the other night. Then the next morning I had an intense contraction. Also my back has been killing me. You can definitely tell that she has dropped and my stomach is way lower so I think that's why my back has been hurting.

Mood:
Stressed, stressed, stressed. I feel so unprepared sometimes even though I pretty much am. I've been a little cranky lately because of how overwhelmed I am.

What I'm looking forward to:
Having our baby next Saturday! I seriously am so excited. I miss her! It will be so nice to just have her HERE!

New in life:
> Baby girl is just not a mover and it stresses me out! I had to be put on a monitor last week and she's fine.. Emma was the exact same way and I had to be put on a monitor with her as well. I hate it!
> We think we have a name! We've been thinking of this name since we found it was a girl but we were unsure. Then randomly someone asked Emma what "baby sister's" name is and she answered her with our name so now we have to name her that right?
> We've been sick lately which has had me super stressed! I don't want us to be sick when our baby girl comes! So we've all been trying to get better. I've had a cough for about a month and a half so my doctor gave me some antibiotics so its finally starting to go away.
> Not much else.. just been relaxing and trying to get things prepared for this new baby to get here!

It's crazy to think I'll probably only be pregnant for 1 more week. It's kind of sad but I am so ready to be done. This pregnancy has definitely been harder.. but when I start complaining to myself or Trevor I try to remember that there are a lot of people who don't even get to experience this or I think of one of my childhood friends who has HG and is super super sick and has to have IV's. When I think of those situations it kind of puts me in my place and makes me more grateful.

Also on another note.. I'm getting super sad for Emma! I know she will be such an amazing big sister but the thought of having to say goodbye to her when we go to the hospital kills me because when we see her again her life will be completely changed! I know she will handle it well but it still makes me emotional. I'm going to cry my eyes out when I have to say goodbye to her.

I am super nervous to have our baby because of what happened last time. It was so scary! Luckily we are more prepared this time and my doctor said we can hopefully avoid it. (Here's the post about it) Although I am nervous I am so excited. This pregnancy has definitely flown by. It has been so nice and reassuring to look at my pregnancy posts with Emma and compare them with this pregnancy, so I'm glad that I did it again. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father. I could not have done this without him and I can't go through the next couple weeks without him either! It's so reassuring to know he is always there for me! Well.. hopefully my next post will be a birth story! AH! So exciting!

P.S. I forgot to take maternity photos again. wahhh. So this will have to do.

Sleep:
Terrible. What's new?

Best moment this week:
Trevor and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on Friday! Our actual anniversary is today! We went to Anasazi Steakhouse and got a free creme brulee!

Food I'm craving:
Reece's Easter Eggs. Why are they so much better? I can't stay away.

What's making me nauseous:
I haven't been nauseous at all except for one day I randomly got hit with a ton of nausea.

Symptoms:
I am definitely getting to the miserable stage. I'm just feel so terrible! The night we celebrated our anniversary my stomach kept getting super tight and it was frequent so I was getting nervous and then I started cramping a little bit so I was freaking out! I started getting my hospital bag ready just in case! I took a warm bath and went to bed and so it all stopped. Thank goodness! My doctor said I would start having false labor this week so I'm guess that's what it was. Also.. my face is getting swollen again.. ahhhh! I was so happy because the swelling didn't come until much later this time so I thought I was going to get away without being swollen this time! Nope.

Mood:
I've been super stressed out about everything lately. It really hit me yesterday that I'm going to be having a newborn soon! Newborns scare me! I can handle all the other ages but newborns are just so intimidating. Everyone says it's like riding a bike but I feel like I've forgotten everything! Another thing stressing me out is the labor! I mean the labor isn't necessarily what's scaring me but since I had such scary things happen I'm worried it will happen again.. ah!

What I'm looking forward to:
I'm now going to the doctor every week which makes me happy because it means its getting close! Although I hate getting the exams.. ha. I am so nervous to have this baby but at the same time I just want her here already! It's weird.. but I miss her! It's like I'm getting to see someone I haven't seen for almost 25 years!

New in life:
> Trevor is loving his new job! He loves being outside and doing different things everyday. Last Sunday he took us out for a drive to see where he works and I always forget how beautiful Ivins is! We actually hope to move out there some day so that he can be closer.
> One of my best friends told me she is pregnant and I'm so happy about it! We had babies within a month of each other so I'm happy we are pregnant at the same time again!
> We cleaned out all the mold that was in our windows (that the landlords clearly didn't clean) and deep cleaned everything so I feel a lot better about bringing a newborn into our apartment! I also got an air purifier which makes me super happy haha! Am I turning into an adult? Nah..
> Emma keeps talking about "Baby Sister" and it melts my heart! I am just so excited to see how they interact!
> Speaking of Emma.. She was running "Ready Set Go!" and I'm not exactly sure what happened but I heard a loud thump and she came crying to me. I didn't really look at her face and just gave her a hug but when I pulled her back she had bright red blood all over her mouth! It absolutely freaked me out! She had a huge cut in her mouth and it looked like her tooth almost went through her cheek! I have never heard her cry like that before. It was so sad. She rarely cries when she falls down or gets hurt so I knew that she must have really hurt herself. It absolutely broke my heart! Luckily it healed quickly. Also.. does anybody else's toddlers have bruises ALL over their legs? I don't even know where they come from! Especially because she hardly ever cries when she gets hurt! She's so crazy.

This was actually taken at 34 weeks..

Yay! I'm in the third trimester! I can't believe I only have 9ish weeks left. This pregnancy has absolutely flown by.

Sleep:
Oh sleep. Always struggling with sleep. I am just so uncomfortable and my schedule is so off.

Best moment this week:
For Valentine's Day Trevor had to work at Olive Garden and I was super bummed out. He was able to get off early and brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a nice dinner! I was so happy and surprised! I definitely lucked out in the husband department. He absolutely spoils me!

Food I'm craving:
I haven't really been craving anything.. Food has been hard for me to eat lately! I'm not really nauseous but nothing ever sounds good.

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing really. Only the smell of our trash can.

Symptoms:
I've been super uncomfortable as usual. I've been having intense leg cramps as well! I didn't have them with Emma but this time around I have been waking up in the middle of the night in so much pain! Thank heavens for Trevor. He always massages it until it goes away. Also, I haven't gotten any stretch marks! I didn't with Emma so I'm hoping I don't this time around.

Mood:
Sick. We've all been sick and it seems as if at least one of us is sick at a time. I'm so ready for spring/summer when we hardly ever get sick!

What I'm looking forward to:
I'm so excited for Emma to be a big sister! I know she'll be a great one. I've been soaking up this time with just her and I. It makes me so sad to think its not going to be just us anymore but I know this new babe will fit in just great!

New in life:
>Emma is pretty much potty trained! I know I know.. I put it off for way too long.. but the first day or two was tough but I think she has the hang of it! We haven't had too many accidents so I'm pretty happy! Next up.. binkies. Send all the prayers and positive vibes this way please haha!
>Trevor got a new job working in public works for Ivins city! We are so thrilled! I'm just happy about the amazing insurance!

Baby #2 : 26 Weeks

Sleep:
My sleep has been terrible again. I'm just at the point where I am so uncomfortable and I miss sleeping on my back and stomach!

Best moment this week:
We moved! I couldn't do any heavy lifting so I felt bad!

Food I'm craving:
Strawberries and basically anything fresh.

What's making me nauseous:
I've been more nauseous lately but I'm not sure what is setting me off.

Symptoms:
I've been just feeling super pregnant and sick! I definitely feel a lot sicker this time around! I'm just extremely uncomfortable.

Mood:
Tired and stressed from moving!

What I'm looking forward to:
Getting settled in my our apartment!

New in life:
>Obviously.. we moved! It's been a little stressful but I actually love moving. Trevor and I have moved a ton since we've been married and I always enjoy it. I like going through our stuff and purging everything! Our apartment is TINY. Like NYC size! I like small but I'm just mad that we are in such a tiny place and paying the rent we have to pay. St. George housing is absolutely ridiculous. This will be interesting living in a one bedroom with 4 people when the new babe comes! P.S. Thanks to Shauni, Ethan, and my mom for helping us move!
>Although I'm happy to have moved, I will miss living with my wonderful parents! I loved seeing them every day and I know Emma did too! I'm so grateful for them and for letting us stay with them for almost 6 months! I can't believe it was that long! Whoops.
>I can't believe I'm in my last week of my second trimester! This pregnancy has flown by but at the same time seems to be taking forever! I'm so excited to meet our new baby girl!
>Also we still don't have a name! AH!

Baby #2 : 20 Weeks

on
Monday, November 28, 2016
Sleep:
Juuuust fiiiiiine.

Best moment this week:
Going to the doctor for our monthly check up! We had our detailed ultrasound and baby girl looks good! Also I'm at the halfway mark! I can't believe it!

Food I'm craving:
Chocolate. Pasta. Sandwiches. Potatoes. Okay everything. I'm just hungry!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing!

Symptoms:
Just a little more sleepier than usual. Also now that I'm growing more I can definitely feel those growing pains!

Mood:
Happy because its the CHRISTMAS SEASON! HURRAY!

What I'm looking forward to:
CHRISTMAS! HURRAY!

New in life:
> It's CHRISTMAS! HURRAY! Okay I'm done.
> Just had Thanksgiving! We spent it with our family friends and it was so fun and delicious! I ate way too much.
> Still looking for a place to live! Why is everything SO crappy around here? Unless you want to pay $1500! Ugh..

Baby #2 : 18 Weeks + Halloween Pictures

on
Monday, November 14, 2016
Sleep:
I can sleep, I can sleep, I can sleep!!! Sleep has been so amazing lately.

Best moment this week:
This little girl is moving so much and she is getting a lot stronger in her kicks! Although every time Trevor has his hand on my belly she doesn't move at all.

Food I'm craving:
I haven't been craving anything in particular but Trevor started at Olive Garden last week and has been bringing us food that they provided for his training and I've been gobbling it up! But let's be honest.. I'd do that even if I weren't pregnant.

What's making me nauseous:
I haven't been nauseous hardly at all this week and its been glorious!

Symptoms:
I haven't had much to complain about this week besides being slightly uncomfortable.

Appearance:
I don't feel that I've changed too much. My hair and nails are growing like crazy! I can't decide if I should let it grow out or cut it short again. Oh the never ending struggle of every girl.

Mood:
Happy!! Life is good!

What I'm looking forward to:
We have our detailed ultrasound next week to see if everything is going well for baby girl! I'm nervous and excited. It's always so reassuring seeing that little baby jumping around on the screen!

New in life:
> Halloween was a couple of weeks ago and it was Emma's first time really Trick-Or-Treating! She was so cute and wasn't even that shy! We dressed her up like Elsa since she is obsessed with Frozen and she looooved it.
> Trevor started his second job at Olive Garden! I think he's going to be an amazing server!

P.S. I had to temporarily get rid of Photoshop/Lightroom and I hate not having it! Editing pictures is so hard without it!

Baby #2 : 15 Weeks

on
Tuesday, October 25, 2016
Sleep:
It's been a lot better! I have to go to the bathroom during the night at least once, but it's better than it used to be!

Best moment this week:
Well we find out what we are having (hopefully) tomorrow! I seriously cannot wait! I don't know how people can wait until they have their baby to find out. I've been so impatient!

Food I'm craving:
I've been craving margarita pizza for soo long and I still haven't got it!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing really! I haven't been nauseous lately which is amazing!

Symptoms:
Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I've been feeling pretty good! My energy is finally back! It's obviously not like it was before I was pregnant, but considering that I am, I feel pretty good! I've had a lot of pressure on my stomach. This baby is sitting pretty low and it's been a little painful.

Appearance:
Still getting bigger! I'm glad that my face isn't yet though haha! Also when I was pregnant with Emma I didn't get any stretch marks so I'm hoping that I don't get them this time either!

Mood:
Happy and impatient! I seriously want to have this baby already.

What I'm looking forward to:
Finding out the gender! My nurse said we may get to find out what we are having tomorrow but since I'm only at 15 weeks she said it may be too early. Although I found that Emma was a girl at 15 weeks, so we will see! Ah I cannot wait!! Also I can't wait to tell the world that we are pregnant!

New in life:
> Trevor got a second job at Olive Garden! So hopefully we can get enough money to move out of my parents house. We love being here, but I feel bad being here for so long!
> We took Emma Trunk-Or-Treating and she was so nervous! She would put out her basket and say "Candy please" in a super quiet voice. Gosh I just love her.
> Also, I've been super nervous about how Emma is going to take having a new baby in the family! But I've been noticing that anytime she sees a baby in real life or on TV she gets SOO excited so I think she will do just fine. I'm so excited for her to be a big sister!

Baby #2 : 13 Weeks

Sleep:
Still terrible.

Best moment this week:
I'd have to say my best moment is that this week my nausea and tiredness are starting to subside. It's not completely gone but it's getting less intense.

Food I'm craving:
Turkey sandwiches. I can't get enough!

What's making me nauseous:
Nothing in particular. Just random things.

Symptoms:
The itchiness on my stomach and back are starting! Nooooooo!

Appearance:
I'm not much bigger but I feel like my stomach is looking more rounder.

Differences from first pregnancy:
Definitely bigger! Although I read that most women start showing faster in their second pregnancies.

Mood:
I feel like I've been more happier lately!

What I'm looking forward to:
My next appointment! They said I may be able to tell the gender! Ah!

New in life:
> Nothing at all! I've been bored out of my mind and I've been too sick to do anything fun!

It's so fun to look at my past pregnancy updates from when I was pregnant with Emma and compare how I'm feeling. Sometimes it gets super annoying to do this but I'm always grateful looking back!

Baby #2 : 11 Weeks

Sleep:
Absolutely TERRIBLE! I'm barely sleeping at all and I'm exhausted.

Best moment this week:
Going to our first appointment! Everything looks good and we got to see our cute little baby! I don't know why but it was so reassuring to see the little silhouette of our baby! I was low key nervous they were going to say "Nope you're not pregnant, just gaining weight." Ha! Could you imagine.. My iron was low (as I suspected) so I have to take supplements for that again. I'm pretty sure thats a common thing though.

Food I'm craving:
Give me all the italian food!

What's making me nauseous:
It's kind of weird but if there is any pressure on my neck it makes me gag and then I'm instantly nauseous. Also just random smells and dirty dishes! I'm not having nausea all day like I used to but it seems that when I do get it, it's extremely bad.

Symptoms:
Same as usual. Really really tired and nauseous. Also my tailbone is KILLING me! I never had that with Emma! I can barely walk up the street without being in pain for the rest of the day! I looked it up and it said "don't worry the pain quickly ceases after delivery" What. I have 6 more months of this!?

Appearance:
I'm definitely showing. I try to hide it with my leggings. Yes that's all I wear. #momlife

Mood:
Honestly I've just been out of it. So tired and really stressed.

What I'm looking forward to:
Finding out the gender! We already have our boy name picked out. Let's be honest.. I've literally had that name picked out since I was in middle school and since Trevor is a huge Beatles fan too, it's just perfect!

New in life:
>Still trying to find a place to live. We may move to Cedar because we can't find a place anywhere!

Baby #2 : 9 Weeks

Sleep:
Still not so good. My sleep schedule is so messed up.

Best moment this week:
Telling Luke I'm pregnant!

Food I'm craving:
Chocolate and pasta. I'm going to get so big.

What's making me nauseous:
Sooo many things. My nausea lasts all day. It's funny, one week I'll have a serious craving for something and the next week it makes me want to throw up just thinking about it!

Symptoms:
Nauseous, extremely tired, and weak. I'm pretty positive I have pregnancy anemia. I had to take iron while pregnant with Emma so I started taking them again. They seem to help.

Appearance:
I'm already starting to show!! What in the world!! I feel sooo big and I'll only get bigger!

Mood:
I've been a lot happier lately!

What I'm looking forward to:
Still looking forward to my first appointment! The place I go to cant get me in for a couple weeks.

New in life:
> Nothing new.. Just have been hanging out with a bunch of friends. It's so nice to be close to them all again!
> We've been taking Emma swimming a lot lately and she just loves it!

Baby #2 : 5 Weeks

Sleep:
Terrible! My first trimester with Emma I slept soooo well. What is going on? I'm super tired allll the time now.

Best moment this week:
Finding out that we are pregnant again!

Food I'm craving:
Jimmy Johns. Give me all the sandwiches!

What's making me nauseous:
I've been a lot more nauseous this time around. Most foods make me sick. I wasn't super nauseous my first pregnancy. My second I was more nauseous. But this time I'm really nauseous. It's terrible!

Symptoms:
Nauseous, fatigued, and sore.

Mood:
Moooood swiiiiiings. Ugh.

What I'm looking forward to:
Going to my first appointment.

New in life:
>Finding out we are pregnant again was so exciting for us! Since I had a miscarriage I was super hesitant to start trying again but I finally got to the point where I was ready. Now I just cannot wait to have this baby!
>We've been updating my parent's old house (The house I grew up in!). It's been a tough feat! I was always beyond exhausted doing it and I didn't understand why I was getting so worn out so quickly. Little did I know I was pregnant!

Pregnant with baby #2!!

Yay! We're having another baby! We are SOO excited!! We JUST found out that we are having another girl! I thought we were the whole time. I am so excited for Emma to have a best friend/sister! She's going to be the best big sister! Now we just have to think of a name! We have no idea!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!
