ENGLAND TRIP : Day 2

Day 2 welcomed us not so bright and super early. Trevor and I both woke up at around 2:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. We tried for awhile but ultimately gave up. We just hung out and watched shows on our phones. At around 6am we figured we could start getting ready. I honestly don't remember what happened until it was time to take the bus to Waterloo train station around 8:30. Our train left around 9 so we walked around the station until our platform number was available. We stopped at a little toy shop and got a red telephone box key-chain. S'cute. We boarded our train which had hardly anybody on it which was kind of fun.

Our train took us to a place called East Molesey in which Hampton Court Palace lies! Hampton Court Palace was built by Cardinal Wolsey and soon attracted Henry VIII. A lot of history (especially involving Henry VIII, one of my favorite monarchs) went down in the halls of this palace. I kept imagining ladies in huge gowns walking these halls and gossiping about things like Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. This was one of mine and Trevor's favorite places that we visited. There was so much to look at and so many amazing paintings which were as big (if not bigger) than my wall! The grounds were absolutely beautiful as well and as we walked around (and throughout our whole trip) we kept saying "I bet this place looks amazing in the spring and summer!" We came right when it opened so it felt like we had the place almost to ourselves! Towards the end, it was extremely crowded so I'm glad we came in the morning.

Queen Elizabeth! Hands down my favorite Monarch!

So cool to see this in real life! 😍

Pie & Mash! Trevor had to start talking about Sweeney Todd right before we ate this so I was grossed out... So rude!

We saw this on the way back. The MI-6 (Or is it MI-5) building!

Then we took the train back to London. My memory is kind of hazy but I believe this was the day that we went back to the hotel and took a quick power nap since we had been up since 2:30am! After that, we walked and shopped around Covent Garden and Soho. We then went to the famous "cheeky" Nando's that I've heard so much about. I absolutely loved that place! It's apparently Portuguese style chicken but everything about the place felt very Americanized to me so that's probably why I loved it so much ha! Gosh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Then we walked up to Oxford Street which is a great shopping area. We first stopped at Primark. Now, I follow a lot of British YouTubers and I've seen them do "Primark Hauls" and everything seemed so cheap! So I had to go check it out. I also had read that it was a good place to get suitcases which we were in need of. This place was huge! It had 4 stories and everything was so cute and sooo cheap. We, unfortunately, came close to closing so we ran around the store just grabbing things. We got a huge suitcase for £35! We were obsessed with this store from the get-go so we planned on coming back once we were back in London. Throughout the trip, I think we went 3 times and spent over £300 pounds in total! Whoops! So worth it because we got some really great stuff and a lot of it.

We traipsed back to the hotel and packed our suitcase up because the next day we headed to Oxford. Boy what an adventure that was!
