One Saturday Charity and I decided to go explore the city. She found an awesome little area that was definitely a hidden gem! I honestly don't know how she found it. The houses surrounding are so amazing and beautiful and the little stores are so adorable! We went into the first store on the corner and had a (overpriced) macaroon! Although it was super delicious. Then we went around the corner and Charity bought some bread from this awesome bakery! I felt like I was in another country stepping inside their store. We kind of wandered around the area for a bit.
Then we decided to go to the heart of Kansas City and went to this amazing farmers market. Oh my gosh. Everything is so fresh and so cheap! We stocked up on some much need fruits and vegetables (I spent $8 on two bags full!) and dropped them off at the car. Close by was an enormous antique/thrift shop so we wandered around there for bit and played dress up in all the old outfits!
After we headed over to this butcher shop that has a food truck next to it. Charity's clients told her about this place and boy are we glad they did! It definitely was a place where only the locals would go. We ordered this sandwich and it was nothing like I've ever tasted before. So delicious!
Then we met Trevor at Ikea and we bought Emma a high chair! (I love it. It's so cute and cheap!). It was such a fun day and I was able to see more of the city! I didn't like it the first time I went through but now that I've seen more I actually really like it! I can't believe how much stuff there is to do here. It makes me excited to try new things!
