LIFE EVENTS

Air Force : Welp. If you follow me on Instagram you will have been bombarded with pictures and crying emoji's and know that Trevor left for Basic Training in San Antonio, TX. He had to go up to Hill AFB in SLC for "Out-Processing" the day before and we decided it would be better if he just went up there himself. The only ride he could find was the Sunday before. So we drove him to my Sister-In-Law's parent's house (who he got a ride with) and dropped him off. It was so hard. I always pictured the goodbye as him leaving me at the house but I had to be the one to walk away. Ughhhhhhh. I was very emotional as you can imagine. Luckily we were able to call each other and FaceTime while he was up in SLC.
Then on Wednesday we were able to FaceTime in San Antonio while he was at the airport before he checked in. That goodbye was soooo hard. This may embarrass Trev but I rarely see him cry, so to see him cry this time was even more heartbreaking. Saying goodbye to him and knowing I wouldn't be able to hear his voice for a month and not seeing his face for 7 weeks just broke me! People try to tell me "Oh.. so and so had it worse.." I don't care. This sucks so bad. Trevor is literally the only person I can spend 24/7 with and not be annoyed. I miss him so much it hurts. I've been okay. I'm not like moping around being depressed but inside it hurts so bad. I just can't fathom that he won't be home for 4 months. Ahhhhh.
So I've watched a ton of YouTube videos on what goes on in BMT and there are awesome videos for every week of training. So I knew some things that were going to happen. I knew I was going to get a call from Trevor at some point after he got there and I knew I would get a postcard with his address on it. So the morning after he left I get a call from him at 5:30 in the morning! What the crap! I knew the call was to give me his address so I had a pen and paper ready. He said "Hello, I'm okay. Here is my address... I have to go. Love you bye." It was very mono-tone and very scripted. I knew that was going to be the case but it was so hard to hear that and not be able to talk to him at all! He sounded a little stressed. Then I got a postcard with his address a few days later. But they were different addresses! So I sent him one from the first address and then once I got the postcard I sent them to that address. I just figured I wrote it down wrong since I was half asleep since I was getting a call that early in the morning.
Okay enough dramatics haha! Now for some happy news! I got my first letter today! And I'm so annoyed! In his letter he asked questions that I had already talked to him about and just things he said made it seem like he hadn't received any of my letters. So I checked the address on the envelope and it's a different address! What the crap! So I doubt he's gotten any of my letters.. so sad. Hopefully he gets them eventually since it was only the unit number that was wrong.
In his letter he said that he was made Academic Advisor, he said, "I make sure everyone knows everything we are required to know and test them and help people who don't know the information." He told me what goes on day to day and it sounds pretty intense! He said he has been going and going since the second he got there. This made me laugh though.. "Since I have been here I haven't had any issues with sleeping. If anything I've had more sleep ha!" He's so cute.
Getting his letter today really energized me. It makes me feel better and that I can do this! As long as those letters keep coming hah! Miss that boy like crazy. I can't wait for his graduation! I keep watching YouTube videos on it and I'm so excited to see Trevor and just enjoy the experience of it all!
*Update : I got another letter! Thanks to Informed Delivery I saw that I had another letter coming! Once I got it from the mailbox I couldn't wait to open it so I opened it while I walked back home. His letter had me smiling like a fool all the way down the street! haha. I love him so much. But he had some exciting things to write! Here are some excerpts.. "So from my last letter I received two more jobs! PT monitor & Beast Monitor! PT monitor - I help all the guys that aren't doing well on PT and I lead all stretches & exercises for the flight!" "Beast Monitor is the Dorm Chief (Flight Leader) during Beast week & when the DC isn't there! It's an important part!" "My MTI said I have a good shot at getting top PT Male in BMT. That's out of 800 people.""I upped my pushups & sit-ups to about 500 a day so I can get it!" He's so cute. I'm so proud of him! Surprise surprise on getting the PT Monitor haha.. He sounds like he is doing really well though! As of today (Sunday) it is WOT 3 and on WOT 4 he gets to call home! Yay!
The Gospel : Man am I grateful for my Heavenly Father! Just with everything going on (and a few others I haven't written about..) it's been so nice to know that I can turn to Him. He strengthens me so much. Whenever I'm worried, scared, lonely, or whatever it may be I know He is always there for me and that I'll be okay. I honestly could not do any of this without Him. With all the craziness of this world going on it makes me so grateful to have the Gospel in my life. Something to hold onto. I love this Gospel so much.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Laura : My beautiful bestie got married! She married this guy named Jake and we all love him so much! It would be pretty hard to find anyone who deserves her but he comes as close as you can get! They are seriously perfect for each other. Jake and Trevor get along super well so Laura and I always say its a dream come true! I had the honor of being Laura's maid of honor and I may have teared up when she asked.. I was so happy for her and the sealing was so sweet. She was the most beautiful bride and her wedding was equally as beautiful. But their exit was the best by far! We all lined up holding sparklers while her older brother let off fire works! Then they rode through the sparklers on his dirt bike in their wedding clothes and all! It was seriously so awesome. I love them and am so happy for them!
I stole this from someone on Facebook! And if it looks like I'm standing super close to Laura it's because I am! The photographer kept scooting me closer to her! Now it just looks weird!

Emma : Poor girl has been so sick. She's got the nastiest cold. She is such a sweet girl. Even though she feels terrible she is still so sweet and happy. I love my little sidekick.
*Update : Evelyn & I got sick too. It's been so rough. Thank heavens for my parents!

My Mom : My mom and I have started the KonMari Method on her house and we started with her clothes. So far she has gotten rid of 6 HUGE bags of clothes and we aren't even done! She is doing SO good!

ENTERTAINMENT

YouTube : I haven't been watching a ton of TV lately and have just been watching YouTube! In the off chance that someone reads my blog I thought I'd share a few of my favorites! One of my all time favorites is The Anna Edit. I love her aesthetic. She has the cutest home decor and clothes. She does the capsule wardrobe and it's my favorite! She loves organizing and minimalism so I absolutely love watching her videos which are so well done! I also religiously watch Clean My Space because they have such great tips! I also love Freddy My Love. Even though our sense of style is completely opposite I love watching her videos. She loves all things pink and I think her clothes are so cute but I tend to go for more.. black. Haha! If you like luxury then Lydia Elise Millen is the one to watch! She has such a cute personality too so I really enjoy her videos. Some other favorites are Zoella, Lily Pebbles, Kristin Johns, and Nastazsa.

WHAT I'M LOVING

Skincare : Since I talked about some skincare last time I figured I'd add what I've been loving lately because I'm obsessed! I got a sample of the Algenist Power Recharging Night Pressed Serum in my Sephora subscription box (I love this box so much! Definitely the best beauty subscription box there is!). Whenever I get an item that interests me I look up the reviews and the reviews were amazing for this product so I was interested to try it out. It comes in a little tub and it looks like a balm and when you put in on your skin it melts into a serum formulation. It's super cool. I used it one day and I could see results! One thing I've been trying to figure out is my skin pigmentation and when I used this I was so shocked that I could see a difference to it already! So I tried it for the next two nights. I was so excited to check my skin out in the morning and on the 3rd day of using it I was so shocked! My skin looked so good! And the texture is like baby skin! I'm amazed. So if you struggle with pigmentation or texture to your skin then check this out! I'm not sure how it fares with acne but someone in the reviews said it helped theirs. The kicker is that the full product size is $95!! Ughhhhh. So if you need help in those areas and don't mind forking over your life savings then try out this amazing serum!
*Update : I haven't used this for awhile and I can tell! I've got to start using it again to save my skin!
